HBO has unveiled the much-anticipated cast of young actors set to play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in its forthcoming television reboot of J.K. Rowling’s legendary wizarding saga. Following a thorough worldwide search including over 30,000 kid performers, Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout—three new faces now ready for stardom—have been chosen for the sought-after parts.

“We said from the start that Dominic was the perfect Harry, and we are thrilled for everyone else to see this soon too.”

McLaughlin brings notable experience to the table. He’s appeared in Grow, a forthcoming comedy on Sky, in which he stars alongside Nick Frost, who will also appear in Harry Potter as Rubeus Hagrid. The two will reunite at Hogwarts in this new series. McLaughlin also has a leading role in the BBC adaptation of Gifted by Marilyn Kaye and previously performed in Macbeth with Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma.

Her extensive training includes time at the British Theatre Academy and the Guildford School of Acting, whose alumni include icons like Bill Nighy and Brenda Blethyn.
